The Many Faces of Worship: Look what's sweeping the Church

Looks like this one is making the rounds. and spiraling downward.

see here

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT . . . . . .

BUT THEN I FOUND THIS.

AND THIS.

AND THIS.

FINALLY SOMETHING ORIGINAL!

AND AFTER ALL THAT, I FOUND THIS:

I'M SPEECHLESS. WHICH IS PROBABLY A GOOD THING. ;-)

I'm supportive of freedom in Christ to give, but that was not a new principle from Christ. Giving in such a way was a fulfillment of the heart of the Law. And giving tithe from a grateful and faith-filled heart preceeded the Law, I thought. I'm sad to think that someone sees the Law as the antithesis of freedom. The Law reveals sin and human limitation, as well as the person of God. It exposes our desperation for the grace of God and the source of that hope.

Gee, it's so encouraging to see white folk be so blatantly racist by trying to look like rap artists/ pimps and preach/sermon focus bit on tithing. Sheesh.

At least the third featured video (backstreet boy tithe bit) was actually choreographed well and done well. I thought it was at least cute.

It's still interesting to me why people have such a problem with tithing, or hearing about tithing. Jesus said not to ignore it.

It's telling that in these economic times, such videos are proliferating. Ctny Today or Leadership actually had stats that in "bad" economic times, giving actually goes up a bit.

Interesting.
My word verification was pateluti!

Speechless is probably the apt response.

The further away we get from the mission to show people the Jesus that can transform them into His likeness, the further we will go into the realms of the 'religious', the unloving, the erroneous and the absurd. "To love You from the inside out" - as the song goes.
