Headed to the Westside for the Grammys

The Tiff and I are en route to Los Angeles this weekend for the Grammy Awards Telecast on Monday. Our friend and Tiffani's boss, Chris Tomlin is nominated for one of the coveted awards. (Best Pop/ Contemporary Gospel Album). It's a tough field with Stephen Curtis Chapman, Brandon Heath, Leland and CeCe Winans. Should be fun.

Ow! Ow! Ow!

Is anybody else's foot sore from the names being dropped around here?

Ain't no-one famous in my house, so I'm going go and talk to Jesus.

Hope you had fun tonight. Sorry Chris lost. But here are a couple of questions for reflection:

What does it mean that Chris' songs are among the very most sung in tens of thousands of churches by every denomination on just about every continent, but year after year he is not recognized by "the world's" musical status symbol? Could that be a good thing?

And totally, completely and honestly... what do you think Jesus really thinks about the Grammys. Would he embrace them, rail against them, or simply ingore them?

Either way... hope you had fun this weekend.

Chris can't put the sound of my church singing the songs from Hello Love on his mantelpiece.

But those voices and the hearts they reveal are solid gold, and we are grateful to Mr T for words and music and vehicles of the soul.

But did you see the winner of the best Polka category? Now that was a travesty.

I was looking for you during the broadcast. Where were you sitting?

Were you close to the stage when the historic gathering of men and pregnant woman, whose words I cannot understand, stepped out?

I got to believe everyone was pretty envious of the performance by Radio Head.

I thought U2's opening fell flat. However Cold Play those guys are the real deal.

Still I have to wonder how in the world the Robert Plant/Allison Kraus album won Album of the year. Guess I'm gonna have to download it now.

Beyonce was there?

If Chris didn't win who did win? Chris won before he got nominated!
