Conundrum
Audacious vulnerability or
Vulnerable audacity
which forms the needed human capacity?
one parades as an open door
Other humbly outstretched on the floor
one says yes as suits the taste
Other's yes seems like a waste
one walks a thousand miles to show
commitment forged in the will to go
Other hides herslef in the cloak of friend
embracing the beginning in apparent end

This is one I wrote on VACATION. I still am not sure what it all means.

any thoughts here?

That's pretty deep for a vacation poem, JD....let it simmer for awhile.

sounds like the shades of paradox found in christian community....

...but that is probably me receiving it more as a "mirror" than a "window"...

...really good - great flow and wonderful imagery

i am clearly not in control of this poetry here--- it's meaning is releasing. . . . . . . i tend to side with vulnerable audacity though. the root of the word vulnerable means "wound."
