A hopeful long series of "firsts"

The picture says it all-- David (5) lost his first tooth this week. To say he was excited would be the understatement of the year. And yes, the tooth-fairy did not disappoint, leaving a crisp one dollar bill underneath his pillow. Tomorrow he and I leave for Arkansas for his first deer hunt. We are going to the Walt Family Camp a.k.a. Fish Lake Camp just outside of Altheimer, Arkansas. We have counted this down for over a month now and again-- to say he is excited is a thorough understatement. So say a prayer for us and the hunt to be full of fun, safe fellowship and for the creation of a memory that will inspire many more. Will check back in here next week with pictures and stories.

Do you have wireless internet at deer camp so that you can blog your adventures? :-)

Hope y'all have a blast. We're taking a "pastor's planning retreat" to a deer camp near El Dorado in a few weeks. Nothing says "planning" like falling asleep in a deer stand.
