TIVO Valentine's Day
So I'm tivo'ing now. I gave it to Tiffani for Valentine's Day. We don't watch a lot of television, but after a long day and getting everyone put to bed it's nice to sit down for an hour and not think about anything. Ok-- so I like to watch The Apprentice and Extreme Home Makeover and . . . . ok. . . . i'll admit it-- Nick & Jessica Newlyweds :-) I'm out now. Anyhow-- i hardly get to see those shows because I refuse to plan my life around television. So I wind up just surfing-- meaningless, mindnumbing channel surfing. Tivo solves that quite nicely. I got a refurbished machine for $50. You can record anything at anytime and watch it anytime you want. And the best part: commercial free! It's like Christian tv in a way-- selected programming without the consumerism assault.

JD,

Of the 20 hours worth of recording space on your Tivo I predict that 18 of them are filled with Oprah and Dr. Phil shows by the end of the month.

Dude-- how did you know this? Did you catch Dr. Phil-- primetime last night? :-) I tivo'd it. Oprah interviews Chris Rieve's wife today. Ok-- so I also tivo'd Joel Osteen. "This is my Bible. . . . . "

You need to tivo THE BISHOP--T.D. Jakes.

I heard a great message by him the other day entitled "Hagar's Child."

JD,
I have to say, I was a bit miffed about the prime-time Dr. Phil. I watch Amazing Race, and wanted to see him SLAM Victoria's husband. He's ridiculous. I'm all for Oprah and etc. And now that you've got tivo, you'll never have to miss Paul and Jan Crouch on TBN again.

John David,
Only champions can own Tivo. Kaisi and I gave it to each other for Valentine's Day, as well. Great minds think alike. Now, we are no longer a slave to the Alias and 24 schedule. I heard Crowder ramble about Tivo at concerts, but am a believer now.
